The cluster Intertwining Histories and the Africa Cluster will hold a week-long encounter of internal work and public programmes in collaboration with the 32nd biennial of Sao Paulo. From 24th to 26th of october (Mon-Wed) will be the internal working sessions on the Intertwining Hi/Stories project and the Africa Cluster.
From 27th to 29th there will be semi-public encounters organized with the biennial with educators, researchers and artists in Sao Paulo and involved in the biennial; and public presentations in evening sessions.

Results of the Madrid Meeting

Hosted by Intermediae, the international kick-off meeting of the Another Roadmap School took place in Madrid from 18th to 22nd of october. It was an intense process, from presentations of all working groups to different workshops to define common research interests, discussions on the structure and modes of working in the school, and a session of public panels to share practices and research with colleagues in Spain.



Glosario multivocal: crear nuevas entradas con videoconferencias

Una iniciativa de la Escuela Otra Hoja de Ruta es de contínuamente trabajar en un glosario multivocal de educación artística. Desde sus proyectos de investigación y actividades, los grupos de trabajo eligen términos especialmente relevantes para la eduación artística o su investoigación en su contexto local y escriben un texto de glosario acerca del término/concepto. Estos textos se discuten en videoconferencias con otros equipos de trabajo, explorando el concepto o términos relacionados en cada contexto. La construcción del glosario multi-vocal promoverá un intercambio horizontal de conocimientos que evite el tradicional privilegio de los conceptos europeo/occidentales y permita entablar diálogos entre interlocutores situados en diferentes lugares en una economía mundial del conocimiento. Como recurso públicamente disponible en la web, el glosario que yuxtapone significados y genealogías de conceptos relacionados desde diferentes lugares permitirá cambiar la perspectiva sobre discursos naturalizados y aparentemente "evidentes" de educación artística.
