What happens once you have applied for your ETA

January 15, 2020 12:13 , by ETA Official - | No one following this article yet.

Once you have applied for your ETA, the processing of your applications starts. It is true, that in most of the cases you will be receiving an e-mail from the official ETA website within a few minutes.

However, there are some cases where your application will definitely take some time in processing.

And if you have already applied for an application and you haven’t received an application within a few minutes then you have to wait for a period 72 hours after applying. The e-mail that you will be receiving will actually tell you a lot about the next important steps that you should take.

It is very important for you to check the junk mail folder of the e-mail address once you have provided your ETA application form. Under some circumstances, the spam filters may block the automated e-mail address.

You will be receiving an e-mail once your ETA application gets approved. There is no doubt, that you will be receiving an e-mail which will definitely include your e-mail number once your application gets approved. Make sure that you do not lose this number, as it will be very beneficial for you if you are in need to contact or if you are looking forward to checking the status of your ETA in the future.

If you have changed your e-mail after applying for an ETA, it is very important for you to update it online as it is one of the most important things to do.

Before you plan to travel to Canada?

It is true, that your ETA is linked to your passport you use to apply. You will be asked for your passport at the time you will be checking in to your flight to Canada. And for this, there is no need for you to print out the documentation as the airline staff itself will check out and will scan your passport just to confirm that you are having a valid Canada ESTA visa with you.

There is no doubt if you are caught with not having a valid ETA with yourself, you won’t be able to board your flight.

Once you will reach Canada, you will definitely be greeted by the officers from the Canada border Services Agency (CBSA). The officers will actually ask to see your travel documentation and your passport. So it is very important for you to keep all your documentation ready for that time.
